How to remove the "Active" mark on partitions.
Hey Hi, There are other hard drives on my computer, beside the System&Boot hard drive which I run the OS from, that are marked as "Acitve" aswell. I'm not sure how they became to be marked as active and now I'm looking for a way to remove the active mark from them. Would appreciate any input.

Hello SpiritSentinel Open an elevated cmd prompt. run diskpart select disk <0> or whichever disk the partition is on that you wish to change then run select partition <2> or whichever partition you wish to change. Then enter inactive. for example: DISKPART> select disk 0 Disk 0 is now the selected disk. DISKPART> select partition 2 Partition 2 is now the selected partition. DISKPART>inactive Thanks, Darrell Gorter This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights
